About HOWS

At Horn Optimal Wellness Services, we are experienced practitioners on a mission to serve those who are passionate about seeking more for themselves.

Our work uses an integrative approach within the therapeutic alliance with clients.

We believe that as holders of the space for clients, there are opportunities for increased insight to one’s own authentic voice and power.

While we are passionate about serving persons of color, especially those from the Black, African-American, and African diaspora; we are open to working with other members of indigenous identities as well.

  • Parent/Family Coaching

For all families who are seeking ways to manage multiple life stressors with raising children and balancing a partnership, we work to create a space to identify a family engagement model that fits your needs.

  • Consulting Services

For services outside of psychotherapy please review and submit the information on the Consulting Form. We offer the opportunity to identify ways to support individuals, families, groups and/or other mental health providers.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

  1. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  2. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

  3. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

  4. If you receive a bill that is at least $600 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

  5. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/fact-sheets/no-surprises-understand-your-rights-against-surprise-medical-bills
